My name is Galen, and I am the photographer
behind the lens keeping things light and fun
while capturing all of life's precious details!
I am a mom to two beautiful children. I have been a photographer since January 2016, a wife since October 2016, a lover of all animals (particularly dogs and horses), and anything sweet (chocolate is my favorite).
My favorite things to photograph are personality portraits, couples, and children. My goal as your photographer is to create an atmosphere when you step in front of my camera, it lends an invitation for you to show up as the truest version of yourself. Creating the environment for me to capture every detail of what makes you, you.
There is nothing more important than capturing the moments before they are gone forever. This is why photography is so important to me, because one day I want to look back at these photographs and remember just how small my sons hands used to be, or how tiny my newborn daughter was. Or the pictures I took of my grandparents on their birthday before I lost the opportunity to do so. Those memories are not forgotten when I have a photograph to remember them by.
Fun Facts:
When I was growing up, my family would get pictures taken every year at the photography studio in the mall. At some point I started taking over how the family was going to be posed; it just came natural to me. As an adult that passion never went away, so I turned it in to a career in 2016...
Fun Facts:
I had always wanted an October wedding. When we decided on our venue, they told us that they only had one date available in October. It was a Sunday, so it was cheaper, which was great, but it was the day before Halloween. So, I called my dad to get his approval and when I told him the date, he said that was his parents Sybil & Ray's wedding anniversary. We thought that was too perfect, so we went ahead and booked our venue! When we got home and told Taylor's parents, his dads mouth dropped and said, "no way that was my parents June & Lee's wedding anniversary". So, Taylor and I got married on 10.30.16 the same date that both of our dads' parents got married on.
In our first dance song it says "ten little toes, a painted pink room" we welcomed our first born in 2020, a girl, Sybil June.
Photographs capture memories otherwise forgotten.
